The Third Rail Tavern opened its doors on November 20th, 2007 after a long and laborous remodel and attitude change. Formerly Ira's Tavern, we've modernized and also kept the charm of a true neighborhood tavern. the Third Rail's name is a tribute to to the owner's Grandfather who onced owned a bar named The Rail Inn near Madison and Halsted. So be part of history, stop by and meet some new friends, have a bite and a drink, you'll be glad you did.

Also, being so close to the United Center, we regularly have "famous" athletes, coaches, preformers and wanna-bees frequent our establishment as well. So be prepared to see someone you may recognize. Just don't bug them, they want to have a good time, just like you. - Cheers.
